Family Diagnosis Research Project, 1960-1965
Scope and Contents
Papers dating from Dr Spencer's time at the University of Toronto and relating to a research project on which he acted as Principal Investigator. The project was concerned with family interactions and behavioural norms.
Consists of: Correspondence; project design; draft questionnaires; "Towards a Systematization of Role Concepts: A Research Framework" - photocopy of paper presented by Gerson David at the AGM of the National Council on Family Relations; "A Study of Social Functioning in Families with Marital and Parent-Child Problems" Werner Boehm's research proposal [2 copies, one annotated]; "The Relation between Social Class and Length of Treatment of Families Served by a Family Service Agency", a dissertation proposal submitted by Gerson David, 1964; handwritten notes by Spencer for a lecture on the Project.
