"More than a little unbalanced. [Male informant] said she had been queer since the birth of her child several years ago. She had infantile paralysis after her confinement - stayed a lot in bed and tied the child to a post to keep him from straying. [Female informant] thinks she traded on her disability. Wrote the teacher nasty notes. Dirty house, husband had to do the shopping etc. Nurse says she had a paralysis after the birth of the child, became mentally dull and filthy."
