"This woman was seen at the clinic and diagnosed as climacteric neurosis. History of ill health for years - chronic dysentery, sore back, antrum, appendicectomy. Husband suffers from depression. [male informant] thinks that she has had cancer. She is a very hard working woman - husband does not show her much consideration. There are rumours that he has other lady friends, does not know about depression."
