Identifier: EUA IN1/ACU/S2/17/1/36

Scope and Contents

"Diagnosis: Anxiety neurosis. Complains of insomnia, is very restless at night. Symptoms grossly exaggerated as soon as he goes down the pit and in last occasion collapsed after a few hours in spite of repeated attempts to pull himself together. "He is suffering from a fairly severe form of anxiety neurosis which is dependent on his work as a miner. I would strongly advise that steps be taken to rellieve him from this work and allow him to take up work of which he is not afraid and preferably in which he is interested. I understand that he could get work on the railway." Clever, got religious ideas, preached in public."
