Scope and Contents
"This woman was a dressmaker, developed TB. When she recovered she went to Glasgow but this was not a success, returned to live with her sister and has been an invalid all her life. Could have done something useful. One brother was an alcoholic. A family lives with her and looks after her. Very over-crowded but has a room of her own. PC recalls the awful carry on when he broke the news of her brother's death to her. PAO says she is nasty and a bit peculiar. She makes the most of her illness and likes everybody to dance attendance to her. She gets PAO of £2 a month but the PA will have first claim on her estate when she dies. Nurse says she has TB but makes the most of it - is an old nusiance. Dr confirms - very emotional."
