"Was a railway porter, wnated to join the Navy, unsettled, stole on one or two occasions, sacked from railway. Then drove a car for a contractor. Rather a mischievous boy. Now in the navy I think. Father a railway worker. [Male informant] this boy is forward, inclined to show off, cheery. IQ 92 but was in B class. Had been graded D in primary school. Lazy but good at arithmetic."
