"This man is a queer specimen, MD and peculiar. Had a head injury in the last war and has an army pension. Queer and cute. A wee small article, looks 20 years younger than he really is. Works in a mill or in a skin yard. LE: Wounded in the last war and still swings it. Pretty poor specimen, not much of a brain. Pension now 46/- a week. Dr confirms - asthma too. Now has to look after his wife. Only one room."
