Scope and Contents
"Very dull and shrewish. No vice, keeps a clean house. Mother dead. Father married again and second wife ran away. Father a very fine man, died suddenly. Girls all inclined to be dull but all had good characters. Nurse: Weak mentally and quarrelsome, pregnant."
