Scope and Contents
"Very backward, wet and dirty in school, quite untrained at home, is sent to school in a shocking state. Father 70-80. Mother, 40+, was father's housekeeper, became pregnant and persuaded him to marry her. Works on the smallholding, not bright but very nice. One sibling also illegitimate was killed. Filthy house. Is off with ringworm at present. No public assistance."
