"Diagnosis: Anxiety state. Joined the army, enjoyed it at first but was glad to get out of it by volunteering for work in the mines. Subnormal intelligence. States he has been nervous all his life even at school but he has always tried not to show it. Never played games. Neurotic symptoms relating to heart and stomach. Present attack his fears have spread to fears re his bodily health. "Told he could eat ordinary food if not afraid of it (at present diet chiefly dry toast). Doubtful he took much in"."
