23.392 Male, Married, 45-54 yrs, Senile and Arterio-sclerotic psychoses, January 1947

 Item
Identifier: EUA IN1/ACU/S2/17/1/22

Scope and Contents

""Psychiatric examination showed no gross abnormality, but there was a mild degree of irritability. Physical examination showed a blood pressure of 200/90 which in association with an increase in the retinal arterial reflex, suggest that the patient is suffering from cerebral arteriosclerosis with hypertension and this would explain his recent somewhat abnormal behaviour. There is also a systolic bruit audible over the praecordium. Perhaps consider that a further investigation of the cardio-vascular system e.g. x-ray examination and blood WR examination may be indicated"."
