Commemoration of the taking of the Aland Islands, in Finland.
Obverse: bust of Pyotr Alexeyevich Romanov (Peter I of Russia) (Peter the Great) (1672-1725).
Reverse: representation of the Russian fleet and the Swedish fleet, and the taking of the Aland Islands. On the right a man is holding a laurel branch with his right hand and a trident surrounded by a crown with his left hand. Legend: CLASSICS RVSSICAE PRIMITIAE.
Exergue: VICTORIA NAVALIS PROPE ALANDIAM. 27 IVL.S.V. Dated. 1714. This Battle occurred in the context of the Great Northern War.
