Biographical / Historical
The Committee of Section D of the British Association held a meeting in London on 04 January with various zoologists, including William Bateson, Ewart and A.D Darbishire, 'to consider the deficiencies of our organisation and some proposals for its improvement'. A sub-committee of six, including Ewart, was appointed 'to consider the best means of improving the organisation of Zoologists'. The sub-committee met in Manchester on 06 March and recommended that a Zoology Organisation Committee be officially appointed by Section D.
