Correspondence 1916, 1916
Scope and Contents
Correspondence chiefly consists of acknowledgements of the receipt of Ewart's paper 'Studies of the Development of the Horse, I: The Development during the Third Week', which appeared in the Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 51, 287-329, and also discussions of the army breeding scheme and various types of horse potentially suited for artillery.
The series also contains some items of correspondence not addressed to James Cossar Ewart, presumably sent to him as enclosures.
