Letter to James Cossar Ewart from Lord Arthur Cecil, 21 September 1902
Scope and Contents
Cecil discusses the engravings, which he has seen in 'Munro's pamphlet', of the Combarelles cave in the Dordogne area of France, which include almost exact reproductions of the heads of horses. He goes on to discuss his discussions with the Hamburg Board of Agriculture about Dartmoor ponies, and mentions that the India Office are expressing a strong interest in acquiring Ewart's hybrids.
