"Nurse says this man is queer, would buy anything he could make 1/- off, is very mean. Very well off. [Male informant] wouldn't say anything about this man. Very progressive, hard worker. Dr says he is very grasping - won't have much in his head. PC says this man is very decent but an awful grabber for money, can't let anything go by him. Very keen on sport, cards, gambling. Is a JP."
