Cotton sleeveless gymnastic dress with green stitching, square neckline, pleated skirt and culotte leg openings. Zip fastening on left side, six button fastenings on the left front side with large white plastic buttons and a white belt woven of man made fibre with two hook and eye fasteners at the front and a cotton belt loop at each side.

Fraying on bloomers for 3cms on rear of right leg, stitching loose or missing on inside of both legs where front and back panels meet. Some loose stitching in the base of pleats at the front. Slight yellow discolouration at the front right of the belt.

On receipt of this accession in 2001, three dry cleaning tickets were found attached under the right arm and elastic under shoulder. One showing a number, one noted care required due to the age of the garment and one printed label stating the item has been cleaned twice and all marks could not be removed.
