Correspondence between Norman Dott and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (R.C.S.E.), 1945
Scope and Contents
Correspondence between Norman Dott and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (R.C.S.E.), dated 1945. The material relates to the setting up of a committee (in May 1945) to consider and report on the possibility of instituting postgraduate lectures in surgery under the aegis of the College. Dott was asked to co-operate in the course, and agreed to do so, submitting a plan for lectures and demonstrations, (The course does not appear to have begun as planned, but many of the subjects and participants were carried over into the course given at University of Edinburgh when he became Professor of Neurosurgery in 1947.)
