Scope and Contents
This sub-series consists of 11 files containing material relating to Norman Dott's tour of U.S.A. and Canada, April 1955-May 1955. This tour was financed by various Edinburgh funds and travel grants. Dott kept full notes of his journey, including professional meetings and discussions, papers and lectures given or attended, methods, equipment and hospital planning etc., as well as personal information, and he wrote them up for reports and talks on his return. The tour, beginning in New York and the Eastern states of America, included Dott's Hughlings Jackson Lecture at Montreal (see Coll-32/D.81-D.82) and his address to the Harvey Cushing Sociely at Quebec (see Coll-32/D.62, D.96), (See also Coll-32/D.73.).
