This file contains material relating to Norman Dott's visit to Portugal. Dott visited Lisbon, Oporto and Coimbra in Novemeber 1958, lecturing on 'Facial pain' and 'Spontaneous subarachnoid haemorrhage'. The material consists of a programme of the visit and brief correspondence with the British Council regarding travel arrangements. It includes various notes, professional and social, on four, and a letter written on Dott's return giving impressions, contacts and advice to R.S. Handley regarding a possible visit to Portugal by the Surgical Travellers Club.
