Scope and Contents
This sub-subseries consists 4 files containing correspondence with Norman Dott and colleagues officials and candidates regarding applications from Thai medical, surgical and nursing staff to spend periods of training in the U.K., 1965-1969. Dott embarked on the task of helping Thai medical education as soon as possible after his visit, many of the early letters being written from Shiraz, and continued on his return to Edinburgh, making careful enquiries about the best centres for specific studies for the applicants. The correspondence is not indexed. Dott's list of the Thai applicants is included in Coll-32/E.55. See also Coll-32/E.53.
