Scope and Contents
Material relating to the Ad Hoc Committee on Future Development in Social Work. The Committee was established in January 1970 by the Main Committee of the Edinburgh Committee for the Co-ordination of Services for the Disabled (ECCSD)'to consider any representations which should be made on the Chronically Ill and Disabled Bill presently before Parliament; and to consider what observations should be made to the Social Work Department on developments which might take place in Edinburgh. The material includes: Committee papers, February 1970-June 1970, some annotated by Norman Dott; draft of memorandum to the Director of Social Work, Edinburgh, with amendments by Dott; correspondence between Dott and the secretary of the Ad Hoc Committee regarding the Bill and regarding requirements of the Epilepsy Society; and a draft report with comments by Dott.
