Letter to James Cossar Ewart from Sir William Ridgeway, 05 November 1904
Scope and Contents
Ridgeway states that he will leave room in his paper for Ewart's new-found reference to the habitat of Ward's zebra. He seeks Ewart's advice on various unidentified horse skulls in the museum in Cambridge. He states that, as Bateson considers it unlikely that any Mendelian study on horses or other large mammals will take place in Cambridge, this could strengthen Ewart's case with the Board of Agriculture on establishing a research station. He mentions the skins of Ward's zebras which are being sent to him by a man in Uganda.
