Scope and Contents
Material relating to the Medical Staffing Structure in Scottish Hospitals (The Wright Committee). The material consists of correspondence with Norman Dott and reports assembled at the request of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (S.B.N.S.) from Scottish members by a small ad hoc committee chaired by Dott, 1961-1962 (See also Coll-32/B.44, F.89). It includes correspondence between Dott and J. Pennybacker (Secretary of the S.B.N.S.) regarding the setting up of the committee, December 1961-January 1962; correspondence between Dott and members of the committee, J. Sloan Robertson and W. Martin Nichols; drafts for report, comments and amendments; statistics and background information on neurosurgical services in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen; and a copy of the final report.
