The last few items of correspondence in this collection, addressed to Ewart before his death on 31 December 1933, chiefly concern the research of others. No correspondence is present for 1934 and the last two items of correspondence, from 1935, are addressed to Mrs Edith F. Ewart from Francis Hugh Adam Marshall concerning Ewart's obituary for the Royal Society.

The series also includes items of correspondence addressed to Mrs Edith F. Ewart following James Cossar Ewart's death on 31 December 1933.
