- list of mollusca by Searles Valentine Wood
- printed pages from an article or book in German, translated as 'Excerpts from Letters of Professor Fr. Hoffmann, incomplete. Also, pages detailing in German, Aetna area, the foot of the mountain at the Simeto Valley from Catania to Aderno (south and southwest side) with Tertiary formations. These items appear to be labelled ' 'Prof. Hoffmann on Palermo Caves etc. and translation. Also, Lyell's handwritten notes from letters, bound together and including A 'Extracts from the letters of Professor Fr.
