Scope and Contents
This subseries consists of 8 files containing correspondence from W.J.G. Beynon to Edward Appleton, dated 1938-1959. Beynon was one of Appleton's principal collaborators, first at the National Physical Laboratory where Beynon was Senior Scientific Officer, 1938-1946, and at University College, Swansea, 1946-1958, and University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he became Professor and Head of Department in 1958.
