Scope and Contents
A short notice (9 folios) on the biography of Abū al-Qāsim b. 'Alī b. Muḥammad b. 'Usmān al-Ḥarīrī, the author of the well-known Maqāmāt, extracted from the Wafayāt al-A'yān of the celebrated Ibn Khallikān (d. 681 A.H., 1282 C.E.). The work was commenced in Cairo, 654 A.H. (1256 C.E.), and completed there 672 A.H. (1274 C.E.).
Bound with OR MS 157 and OR MS 160. In the same hand as OR MS 160 Tarjumat 'ahl al-sunnah.
The same volume also contains 12 pages of notes in English, that appear to be translations, or summaries, of the sections concerning al-Ḥarīrī from Ibn Khallikān's aforementioned work.
