Biographical / Historical
Finlay Dun attended the R(D)SVS as a student before being selected by William Dick to become Professor of Materia Medica in 1847 (he is listed as graduating from the Veterinary College in 1849). Since Dun's resignation the position of Professor of Material Medica has never been filled. Instead, the position has been added in addition to other positions held at the college.
