Scope and Contents
These are two single-sheet playbills from the Theatre-Royal, Edinburgh. The first, for the evening of Friday 19 March 1824, advertises performances of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare, and The Lying Valet by David Garrick. The second, for the evening of Saturday, 1 May 1824, advertises performances of The Way to Keep Him by Arthur Murphy and The Romp by Isaac Bickerstaffe.
