Scope and Contents
This is a good copy containing numerous tables of the well-known āʼīn, or institutes, of the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great (949-1014 A.H. /1542-1605 C.E.). This work, which is usually regarded as a third volume or supplement to the Akbar-nāmah, is by the same author, Shaykh Abū al-Faz̤l "Allāmī." It contains a most detailed description and record of Akbar' s government in all its departments, revenues, statistics, languages, sciences, religions, laws, physical character, climate, etc.
