Biographical / Historical
William Judson van Someren was born in Madras, East Indies. He enrolled in medicine at the University of Edinburgh in 1840, and graduated in 1845.
Someren is listed in the volume List of the Graduates in Medicine in the University of Edinburgh from 1705 to 1866 as “1845. Gulielmus Judson Someren Van, ex India Orientali. On the causes of difference in the facility of parturition in the different races of man”.
