Henry Campbell-Bannerman (1836-1908), British statesman, Autograph Letter Signed about the Bombay Command. 23 June 1893. Written in the War Office of the House of Commons by Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman, according to Stumpff it is addressed to Prince George, Duke of Cambridge. The letter concerns the difficulties of finding someone suitable for the post of military commander of the Bombay Presidency. He references discussions on this subject with John Woodhouse Kimberley and Sir Donald Martin Stewart. Officers suggested as possible military commanders are Sir Charles Nairne, 'Chapman', and Sir James Gordon.
