- Letter 1: 20 January 1956. Copy of a letter from Franz Altheim to Fritz Schachermeyr, in which Göbl is mentioned as Altheim's "son" (protégé).
- Letter 2: 4 July 1962. Copy of a letter from Manfred Mayrhofer to Fritz Schachermeyr in which Göbl is mentioned. Mayrhofer is telling Schachermeyr how essential it is to find a good post for a promising academic like Göbl. A copy of the same letter is included in Coll-2106/1.
- Letter 3: 25 March 1962. Göbl describes a journey to Kabul and relates what discoveries he has already made in the museum and in the markets.
- Letter 4: 30 April 1962. Göbl describes the possibilities of reconstructing history from coins.
