- Letter 1: 14 January 1884. Letter from Robert Michell to Lansdell. He thanks Lansdell for his work in Siberia, which will be added to Michell's 'stock of books on Russia'.
- Letter 2: 18 January 1884. Letter from Albert Gunther to Lansdell. Gunther says he has made inquiries in the Print Room and Map Room for information on Central Asia but he has found nothing relevant to Lansdell's interests.
- Letter 3: 29 February 1884. Letter from Albert Gunther to Lansdell, sent from the British Museum Natural History department. Gunther writes that he could not find Lansdell's books in his room.
- Letter 4: September 1884. Letter from Augustus Franks to Lansdell, sent from the British Museum. Concerns a book loan from the Museum's collection.
Notes by Alfred Stumpff: One page of German commentary notes about Lansdell's life and travels. Four pages of handwritten notes about letter authors Franks and Gunther.
