- Letter 1: 4 July 1962. Mayrhofer writes to Schachermeyr and describes his holiday plans. He mentions the importance of finding a post for Göbl, a promising student. He is currently working on the Surkh-Kotal-Inscription. A copy of this letter is included in Coll-2106/1 and Coll-2106/47.
- Letter 2: 16 November 1964. Mayrhofer describes a book he is planning to write, "Die Indo-Arier im Alten Vorderasien". He asks for recommendations of articles that may be helpful in writing the book.
