- 24 October 1806, Paris. Sacy sends an update to Lanjuinais about the approaching election at L'institut de France for the Classe des Inscriptions. He reports that there have been complaints about the voting method. He expresses his doubts that Lanjuinais will be successful in the election as Mr Barbié de Bocage seems to be the most popular choice and recommends he also support Mr Barbié de Bocage.
