Calcutta, fragment of a letter written in 1860.
1 fragment of a letter. Undated. The author describes Calcutta as a place of amusement, as long as one has money. But also as a place where one can die very suddenly. He asks after the newly born child of an acquaintance, and notes that he hates children.
