Scope and Contents
Folder of handwritten and typewritten poetry and short stories by Roddy Lumsden, including poems entitled "Poem from the Gap", "The Capistrano Swallow Who Never Came Home", "Me and Florence Nightingale", "Revenge on a Neighbour", "Candle", "Kippis", "20 Haiku for my Dentist", etc. Also includes a letter from Diana Shine, Secretary for Awards of the Society of Authors, dated 25 August 1993, concerning the inclusion of five poems in the collection The Gregory Anthology; a letter from Christopher Reid to Roddy Lumsden, dated 12 January 1994, concerning a reference to the Scottish Arts Council for a bursary; a letter from Roddy Lumsden to Christopher Reid, no date, thanking him for agreeing to supply a reference and giving him news of his financial and professional situation; and a letter from Roddy Lumsden to Christina Patterson, no date, requesting an hotel room for his reading at her venue in London.
