Scope and Contents
Booklet entitled The Professional Photographer, February 1918, published by Kodak Limited, Kingsway London, containing an article about David Octavius Hill and reproductions of his portraits. Pasted next to it is a newspaper clipping from The Scottish Field entitled "A Characteristic Portrait of Sir Walter Scott", dated April 1918, starting: "Mr Andrew Elliot, bookseller and publisher, Edinburgh, has just handed over to the custody of the Advocates' Library an enlarged and framed photograph of Sir Walter Scott, from a sketch made in court by the Late Robert Scott Monctrieff, advocate." The clipping includes a reproduction of said portrait.
