  1. A letter of recommendation for Irene J. Young, written "To whom it may concern" from H.M. Ritchie (Assistant Establishment Officer at the Department of Agriculture for Scotland, St. Andrews's House) on 5 November, 1947, describing her service and the nature of her administrative duties in the department.
  2. A handwritten letter from H.M. Ritchie to Irene J. Young written on 1 September 1950, responding to a previous letter sent from Irene J. Young and giving updates on his wife, family, health, and summer activities (including the Edinburgh Festival).
  3. A typed list entitled "The following are some extracts from letters received in a pensions office" and includes 13 quotes from said letters.
  4. A leaflet entitled "50 years of Saint Andrew's House", including a black-and-white picture of St. Andrew's house on the cover. Dated 26 February - 9 March 1990.
  5. A typed document entitled "Notes to Chapter Four", the back of the document contains handwritten notes too.
