Photographs from the Daily Mirror in the early 20th century from an article, 'Buried Sheep Which Breathe Through Holes in Snowdrifts in the Peak'. The four photographs show: a dog digging out the sheep; a farmer's wife digging out the sheep; the farmer's wife uncovering a Gritstone sheep and a farmer and his wife leading back the rescued sheep.
