Comprises records of Roslin Institute which relate to governance, administration, finance, legal, estates, human resources, external relations, events and publicity. Also contains some research data. The majority of these records originate from the office of the Institute Secretary, with a number from the Director and Assistant Director. In the latter cases this is noted in the catalogue.

Biographical / Historical
The Institute Executive Committee dealt with all policy, science and management issues in the Institute including: BBSRC policy and funding, Governing Council, Science Strategy, Defra commissioned research, management and finance, facilities and farms, staff and students, business and commercial activities and external affairs. The Committee initially met on a monthly (later fortnightly) basis and consisted chiefly of the Institute director, Heads of Division, Assistant Director (Science) and Institute Secretary. Minutes were circulated within the group, with a summary circulated to all staff. Approved minutes were posted on the Intranet and sent to the Governing Council.
