Biographical / Historical
Roslin Institute formed subsidiary companies in order to enable a detached, commercial operation to focus on its particular niche; to enable the Institute to collaborate with partners towards specific, time-limited objectives which contributed indirectly to the Institute's science, and to create an opportunity for a commercial company to exchange funding for access to an defined area of the Institute's intellectual property.
