Biographical / Historical

The general objective of this project was to compare the effects in pigs of selection on different testing systems over a range of commercial production systems and feeds. Three selection lines and a control line were developed, derived from a common foundation stock, drawn from a variety of commercial breeders, which had been progeny tested for halothane sensitivity and feeding. The experiment was replicated in Large White and Landrace pigs at ABRO and at Wye College, University of London.

Extent

From the Sub-Fonds: 7.5 linear metres (56 'A' boxes)
