Biographical / Historical
The object of the study was to investigate the heritibility of leg weaknesses in performance tested boars. The experiment comprised a leg weakness line and a normal line using Landrace pigs. This experiment was carried out in conjunction with ABRO and the Central Veterinary Laboratory, Weybridge. The Meat and Livestock Commission also collaborated on a study of the heritability of leg weakness in Landrace pigs.
