Biographical / Historical
The agreement relates to 'Project Mother Goose' a collaboration between Imperial Chemical Industries plc, Prutec Ltd, the AFRC and Glasgow University. The proposal was for a project to develop a process for the production of certain non-avian proteins in chicken's eggs by using retroviral or other vectors to insert foreign genetic information into ova of chickens, followed by the growth of the embryo to hatch using in vitro embryo culture.
