Biographical / Historical
The principal objective of the project was to construct a low resolution map of the bovine genome sufficient to detect markers linked to quantitative trait loci in families in which the trait segregates, and ultimately to determine linkage and enquire whether any of the markers identified were linked to genes affecting progression or susceptibility to BSE.
