Gilt stamped shield with Academ Edinburg Guil Drummond Ab Hawthornden D.D.Q in centre of front cover and gilt stamped winged horse over laurel wreath with Hos Gloria Reddit Honores in centre of back cover. Compartmented spine with five raised bands, gilt stamped decorations and title. Gilt edges to text block. Marbled end-papers.
