Brown, leather bound. Leather bound on inverse, making for suede-like texture and appearance. Title on binding, leather overlay: "History of the Church in Scotland - Spottiswoode in manuscript." Banded spine. Gilt. "Spottiswoode" inscribed in ink on spine. "5" at top of spine.
